So the journey from Steung Treng to Pakse went without too much drama. The road from Steung Treng to the border was an annoying mix of sealed and hard dirt road but nothing too bad.

The border crossing was easy. Wait a half hour for the Cambodian customs guy to get out of bed and drag his ass to work to process my bike out. See his tea money sheet, this costs anything from $2 to $20, I landed in the middle with a $10 ‘admin fee’. $5 on the Laos side.

Visa in Arrival was the standard $40 plus one passport photo. Both sides threw in a random $2 fee for good luck. Such is ESA. All in all a good crossing.
