Quiet day today, just doing some highway kms to reach Thakhet.

Most of the highway is in great condition but the 5% that isn’t sure keeps you alert. When the road surface fails it does so spectacularly, so I ran into a couple of potholes when oncoming traffic wouldn’t permit otherwise.

I gave up in the highway when I could and veered off toward the Mekong. Got more scenic for sure, with some old bridges that I will load eventually from the GoPro. The road was awful however and too long on the pegs wrecked my bad knees.

Start the Thakhet Loop tomorrow.One of the best rides in Laos, with less tourists than the northern areas.
