Final day of the Thakhet Loop! I started by searching for a cave which i found but could not get too! Maybe next time hey?
About 40km into the journey I started to climb up the mountain again heading towards Thakhet. A challenging ascent again for sure, but all successful. Probably much easier on a small scooter that you can throw around the bends, more of a challenge on an ADV bike.
At the top of the climb is the Rock Viewpoint. Amazing view of the limestone formations (I know there is a technical name but I forget!) For those who are mentally challenged there is what is supposed to be the best zipline experience in Laos. If you watch the photos carefully you may spot the platforms and wires. Waaaaay to crazy for me, I was getting vertigo just taking photos!!

After that it was a steep descent which was reflective of my realisation that I was now leaving the mountains of Laos behind. For the next few days it will mostly be highway back to Cambodia and Siem Reap.
I can not recommend the Thakhet Loop enough. Pictures and video just don’t do it justice enough. It is sold as the adult playground of Laos and it is that and more. If you ever get the chance go, otherwise make the chance and go!
I won’t be boring folks with the next 3 days, so that’s all folks from Laos.
The trip has been incredible, hope some readers get value from the blog. Ride safe 👊 Adventurer

Loved the info. Thanks heaps. We are going later this year.
